Early Reviews Outstanding For 16mm Displays

Florida Atlantic BBDES MOINES, IA — Fair-Play’s tighter pixel pitch 16mm full-color sports CaptiVue® displays are getting serious attention from high schools, colleges and universities that desire a professional-style setup.

These vibrant high-resolution displays - controlled by ProLine® software - are a great fit for a number of sports and educational applications, indoors or outdoors. Athletic programs enjoy the versatility of all that can be displayed, from sponsorship messages to live video feeds.

One facility to put Fair-Play’s 16mm CaptiVue to the test is Florida Atlantic University Arena, which added a full-color display with a resolution of 160×208 last season.

“When they powered up the message center for the first time, all the athletes on the court just stood there watching it for fifteen minutes,” said Ted Willette of Gulfstream Sports, who sold the display to FAU. “The athletic department has been very happy.

“It has incredible clarity and is very easy to operate. The entire display, scoreboard and message center, has really piqued fan interest and gets them excited about the games.”

Iowa’s Wartburg College and Conway High School in Arkansas have also enlisted Fair-Play’s 16mm technology and given positive reviews since the 2007-08 basketball season.

All 16mm products have a viewing angle of 140×60 degrees horizontally and vertically. Outdoor displays have 7500 nits, while indoor displays employ 3,000 nits of brightness. Fair-Play’s 16mm color message centers are capable of displaying 68 billion colors.

Using the 16mm, it is also possible to achieve video resolutions of 144 x 192 or larger resolution on displays that are physically smaller.

Outdoor products are rear-serviced only.
